My work is inspired by the dynamic nature of music, atmosphere and people. Using vibrant, warm colours, I aim to evoke emotion - to transport the viewer somewhere and make them feel calm, excited or nostalgic.

I explore themes including jazz music, dance, relationships and sentiments, and each painting is created to emulate a specific mood.

Based in Northumberland, I have been selling my art for the past 10 years, having set up a business selling watercolour animal portraits when I was 13. However, whilst studying in Liverpool from 2021 - 2024, I became increasingly interested in the atmosphere of city life, particularly in jazz bars and pubs, and often would sit in a corner observing and sketching. Some of my paintings begin as one of these sketches, and others from a line of poetry, or a piece of music – inspiration strikes anywhere and everywhere.
